Christopher's 1st Birthday | The Bicycle Club

I was so glad to have the chance to drive up to New Jersey this past weekend to photograph Christopher's Dol Party. I chatted on the phone a little over a month ago with Joseph & Jenny about their vision for his Moonrise Kingdom inspired party and got off completely grateful and delighted to do what I do and get to work with such creative and cool people. The event did not disappoint! It was at The Bicycle Club. The theme was wonderfully brought to life by the talented event designer Linda, from Angi & Co. And all the tasty treats created by Jennifer Choi Dessert Catering. Also got to reconnect with Selah's family, lovely clients from last year. It was a pleasure to photograph this sweet and very loved family and celebrate this milestone in Christopher's life! 

Luna's First Birthday Party | NYC

It was such a pleasure to photograph Luna's dol party in Manhattan. It was a beautiful day. Luna's mom, Hyunjung planned the entire party and did a wonderful job. I was so impressed by her taste and capability. It was perfect. 

One of my favorite things about these parties is that every person there who doesn't know about the Korean tradition of throwing a delightful first birthday is in awe of the little celebration. I overhear conversations every time of someone saying "I thought I was just coming to a kids birthday party. This is amazing!" And they are. I'm so grateful that I've gotten into this industry.
